3-Tier Display
Assembly Instructions
Required Tools: Tape measure, pencil or marker, 7/16” – 9/16” wrenches or sockets.
The following instructions allow for assembly by one person.
Assembly:
Assemble
leg pairs – Use one tube that is straight and one that is bent that have
the same wheel types. Hold the tubes together so the wheels are even (both
swivel wheels go together and both rigid wheels go together) and put a mark
on the bent tube even with the top of the straight tube. Spread the bottom
of the tubes about 40” apart and use a 3-bolt clamp to fasten the legs
together as shown in the photo. Line up the top of the straight tube and
the mark on the bent tube with the top of the clamp.
Install
basket rod – (For units with the
double basket rod option, use 2a. below). Using
the 1-bolt clamps, attach the basket rod to the top of the legs. The single
leg of the “T” is on the top of the bent tube; the basket rod passes through
the top of the clamp, flush with the edge. The bent tube is at the back
of the display and angles toward the front. Tighten the clamps with the legs
parallel. Stand the legs up to install the shelves.
For
Double basket rod option –
Using a 1-bolt clamp attach the short (24”) tubes to the top of the
taller leg. Line the ends up over the leg bottoms. Use 1-bolt clamps
to attach the basket rods to the ends of the 24” tubes.
Install Support Tubes – Slide two 78” tubes into the widest (bottom) shelf. Slide the tubes into the second mesh in (from the outside edges) of the shelf. Each end should stick out about 3”.
Install
shelves – Set the widest shelf
in place as shown in the photo on the left so the shelf is level (or at some
angle you’d like). The tubes of the shelf should come to rest on the
outside of the legs. The placement of the support tubes should put the
shelf within 6-9” of the top of the wheels. Make sure both ends are at equal
heights and that the legs are still at the angle formed by the 3-bolt clamp
at the top of the legs. (Too much weight or pressure on the shelf will cause
the legs to move too close together.) Attach the 4-bolt aluminum clamps on
each of the four corners of the shelf. The tube placement for the upper
shelves can be varied to achieve the height and angle you prefer. Moving
the tubes toward the center of the shelf will raise the height of the shelf
and moving them out will lower it. The tubes do not have to be in matching
slots on the shelf. (One could be in 3 meshes and the other side could be
in 2 meshes.) If you are going to be hanging large baskets on the rod, you
may choose to use only 2 shelves, as the spacing can get tight with three
shelves and large baskets
Green plastic end caps are available to put into the end or the support tubes. Your display is now complete and ready to go.
