 Assembly Instructions

Congratulations on your purchase of HotStacks from Bartlett Bench. HotStacks can be used as shown (three tiered) or as an octagon and a two tier (upper two tiers). The top tier does not have legs that allow it to be placed directly on the ground.

Tools required:  square and a cordless or corded drill. A #25 Torx bit is included in the bag with the fasteners.

Bottom Tier: Turn the large octagonal table upside down. Find four legs that have two notches sides at one end. Place the notches of the leg over the edges of each pair of boards where they cross, placing the leg on the outside of the cross as shown below. Using the larger screws, secure each leg to the boards using the predrilled holes in the boards.

(Caution: adjust the clutch of the drill chuck so you will not break the tip or hurt your wrist when the screw head reaches the wood. These are very strong screws. Go slowly until you are comfortable.) Install the diagonal braces as shown below using the shorter screws. Use your square to make sure the leg is square to the cross boards in both directions. Continue until all four legs are square and attached.

Upper tiers: The middle tier is the 42” square table. Using the same double notched legs as the bottom tier, place the legs in the four corners of the table and secure with the larger screws thru the pre-drilled holes in the corners, using a square to keep the leg straight. Do the same for the 32”top tier. The top tier legs also have special notches at the bottom.

Stacking: The legs of the middle tier stack directly over the legs of the bottom tier. The top tier rotates to a 90-degree angle to the middle tier and the top tier legs sit in the middle of the outer sides of the middle tier (right photo above).  Use one wood screw to attach the top tier legs to the middle tier boards; attaching from the inside so the heads are not visible. Congratulations, you are ready to use your HotStack.
