Maine Attraction 3 Step Display

 Assembly Instructions

All bottom and middle shelves have a rectangle cut out in the mesh for the stringers to pass through, the two mesh side of shelf should face the front of the display.  See Figure 1 below.

Clamp 5 ½” legs to the front of bottom shelf, insert ¼” drill bit into predrilled holes in shelf, bore through legs, install bolts in holes just drilled, install washers and nuts, tighten securely.

Stringers have the tip of one long point removed on one end, that end is the top of stringer.

Install stringers on bottom shelf with short point of miter cut 5/8” below top of shelf and miter cut against back of front leg, insert ¼” drill bit into predrilled holes in end of shelf and bore through stringers, install bolts in holes just drilled, install washers and nuts, tighten securely, also fasten stringers to shelf with 2 #8x1 ¾” screws in each stringer.

Top shelf has no cut out in the mesh; the long side with predrilled holes is the back of shelf.

Clamp 29 ½” legs to rear of top shelf, insert ¼” drill bit into predrilled holes in shelf and bore through legs, install bolts in holes just drilled, install washers and nuts, tighten securely.

Set middle shelf down over stringers resting it on bottom shelf temporally.

Slide stringers into bottom of top shelf, align top miter cut of stringers with bottom of dado on shelf and cut off point against front of rear leg, insert ¼” drill bit into predrilled holes in end of shelf and bore through stringers, install bolts in holes just drilled, install washers and nuts, tighten securely, also fasten stringers to shelf with 2-# 8x 1 ¾” screws on each end of shelf.

Measuring from bottom of lower shelf make marks at 12” on the out side of each stringer, use a level to mark lines across stringers.

Move middle shelf up so that bottom of shelf aligns with marks just made, fasten shelf to stringers with 3- #8x 1 ¾” screws on each end of shelf.

Install 12” brace against in side of rear legs and against in side of backboard with top of brace flush with bottom of dado on shelf, fasten with 2 # 8x 1 ¾” screws on each end of brace.

Place a 12” brace on the front of rear legs with top of brace touching bottom of front board of top shelf, fasten brace to stringer and leg with 2 # 8 x1 ¾ screws on each end of brace.
